When two designers come together, magic happens. That’s exactly what resulted from my collaboration with Emma Beryl, an interior designer based in New York City who works with residential and commercial clients. Since she works on a variety of projects, she needed a more cohesive visual brand that would stand out in New York’s very saturated market and bring a high level of consistency between her portfolio of work.

“After working with Jaynie on my wedding invitations, I knew she was the perfect person to help me with the rebranding of my interior design firm. Jaynie was a pleasure to work with. She asked thoughtful questions to really capture my brand identity and made it a point to tweak and adjust as needed until we really captured my vision. She also helped me price out different options for our printed items (notebooks, tote bags etc) which was supremely helpful. She has a beautiful eye for design and is incredibly talented.”

-Emma Kemper, owner of Emma Beryl Interiors

Emma also noticed that many of her competitors had the same aesthetic, inspiring her to think outside-the-box when we created designs for her new brand launch. The design had to represent her fast-paced, architectural, and clean style while giving her wiggle room to infuse her ideal clients’ styles as well.

Using Emma’s initials, we created a simple and streamlined alternate logo that looks incredibly high-end and speaks to her affluent clientele. Paired with her stunning primary logo, we also created a submark with a circle element to show unity between her design styles and a curved line inside the circle to show movement. We also chose a more neutral color palette since her clients are often looking for various colors.

It was important for Emma’s designs to look as impressive in print as they did in digital form, so we used this to guide much of the collateral design work. Emma can now take all of the cohesive visual elements of her brand to create everything from tote bags to carry samples to office supplies.

Her new brand heightens her level of professionalism and makes her brand memorable, no matter if she is meeting a client lead for the first time or nurturing her relationship with them. She is proud to have a visual brand identity that is unlike anything she’s seen in her industry and that fits her to a T.
