Back in August, Katie, of Rust and Ivory, found me on instagram. Not only is she the sweetest, but she sells these perfectly simple love notes that match her sweetness and you should totally check them out.
She sent me an invitation to a community summer dinner that she and the ever so talented Catherine, of Layers of Lovely, were planning. Since moving to Las Vegas, I'd found that the sense of community was seriously lacking here. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to attend. But the surprises didn't end there. Katie asked me if I'd like to do some calligraphy: cutting board menus and place cards. Um, yes please! I made the place card with one deckled edge, with a watercolor wash and gold ink on top. THEN the decor was unbelievable, flowers were stunning, the food insanely delicious, and being in a room full of other creative ladies was just a dream. For the last surprise, Katie and Catherine curated these gift boxes for each attendee. How freakin generous is that?!
I'm still blown away by the generosity and creativity that went into making this night happen. Can't wait for the next one, ladies ;)
